We are now advising pregnant women and those with a weakened immune system to thoroughly cook Enoki mushrooms before consuming them as they are at higher risk of severe illness from listeriosis.

From Food Standards Agency
As the risk of serious illness from listeriosis increases with age, we are also advising that older people should be aware of the risks associated with eating these products.
Recent tests in the UK found Listeria in many samples, sometimes at high levels. While no cases have been reported in the UK, the US and Canada have reported illnesses linked to Enoki mushrooms.
Enoki mushrooms are sometimes labelled as Enokitake, Golden Needle or Lily Mushrooms. They are tall, white, thin-stemmed mushrooms, which are commonly used across Asia. While they are usually served cooked, they are occasionally served raw, such as in salads or as a garnish.
We’re also advising all consumers to wash their hands after handling Enoki mushrooms and to store them in the fridge at 5 degrees Celsius or below. Always clean surfaces and utensils thoroughly when handling raw Enoki mushrooms.
